The locomotive is constructed with TIGER STRIPE CHERRY. The scale is a bit larger than
"G" (9/16"=1'-0"). The finish is clear acrylic and wipe-on Polyurethane. It took six months to build.

Since the plans in the Railroader Cyclopedia are far from being complete, some assumptions were made. Not all "nuts and bolts" are on the  model, but surely enough to make it look like a replica of a steam locomotive.

The Decapod is six inches wide and forty-six and one-half inches long. It is eight and one-half inches tall, standing on a three-quarter inch track that is seven inches wide by fifty-two and one-half inches long.
